This role is a System Analyst 6 position within the Department of Technology, Management, and Budget (DTMB) in Lansing, Michigan. The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in system and application administration across Windows and Linux environments, cloud infrastructure (Azure/AWS/GCP), and possess strong analytical and communication skills. The position requires a hybrid work schedule with a minimum of two days per week onsite in Lansing.

Responsibilities:
- Install and configure systems and application components on Windows and Linux environments.
- Gather, document, and analyze requirements, researching and presenting options, and recommending solutions for application changes and new initiatives.
- Implement and configure applications in Azure Cloud infrastructure, demonstrating proficiency in Azure services, containerization, and Infrastructure as Code (IAC).
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and remediate vulnerabilities in systems and applications.
- Provide application and server support.
- Create technical diagrams and documentation (e.g., using Visio).
- Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in system and application administration (Windows and Linux).
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience implementing and configuring applications in Azure Cloud infrastructure.
- Proficiency in Azure services, containerization, and IAC.
- Experience with tools and technologies: Windows Server (2016+), RHEL, Tomcat, IIS, MS SQL Management Studio, Dynatrace (or similar debugging tools), XML, PowerShell, Azure DevOps, Visio, SSO (SAML, OAuth, OpenID).
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's Degree.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with network administration (LAN/WAN), firewalls, and IoT.
Special Considerations:
- Hybrid work schedule required, with a minimum of two days per week onsite in Lansing. No fully remote option.
